His Grace Most Rev. Dr. (Late) Daniel Acharuparambil

Daniel Acharuparambil (12 May 1939 – 26 October 2009) was a Roman Catholic archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Verapoly. Ordained to the priesthood on 14 March 1966, he was named archbishop and was ordained on 3 November 1996.

He was the head of the Latin Catholic hierarchy in Kerala Region. He was belongs to the OCD congregation.

Acharuparambil taught in various theological institutes in Rome for more than two decades before taking charge as the head of the Verapoly diocese. He held a doctorate in Indian philosophy.
